Sweet Disposition

Lace cropped top - Topshop | Maxi skirt - Handmade | Everly wrapped boots - Jeffrey Campbell | Bracelet ring - H&M | Purse - Forever 21

With a tiny figure, I never thought I would ever go for a maxi skirt, I used to think I would probably look like a sinking ship. But it wouldn't hurt to try, would it? Made this maxi skirt a while back, inspired by one of my favourite british youtubers, Zoella. I find it amazing how she could always maintain a balance between edginess and daintiness. You would never cease to find a lil bit of vampy colours here and there along with a faint hint of delicate prints or lace, for that matter. You would probably scream at your screen at how foolish I am for ruining the whole delicate look going on with that pair of edgy boots. Well, I am just simply ripping a page in her playbook, juggling two contrasting kind of looks, plus my love for these boots just hasn't faded.

  • Cropped top - GU | Drawstring shorts - Handmade | Cheetah printed roshe run - Nike | Sunnies - Factorie
I hope I'm not too late to jump on the tropical prints bandwagon, either way I am so in love with this particular fabric. I bought it months ago but I hadn't got around to make a pair of drawstring shorts out of it until last two weeks. The thing with drawstring shorts are that they are so comfortable to wear and with the latest style trend, I am now excused to wear them out without looking like I just got out of bed. As seen on my instagram, I was in Kuala Lumpur last week, on a school trip with a bunch of my school mates and I brought this outfit along with me to wear on a day out in Sunway Lagoon. With the day being so hot and all, I thought it would suit the occasion, theres nothing better than a pair of shorts and a cropped top for such a hot day.

Walk the line

  • T-shirt - Uniqlo | Kimono - Handmade | Distressed jeans - Forever 21 | Everly Wrap boots - Jeffrey Campbell | Necklaces - H&M | Ring to wrist bracelet - H&M

If you asked me what is my favourite outfit combination, I would definitely say a plain white tee and distressed jeans is my go to combination on any day. It's super simple and easy to throw on, but it can easily get repetitive. So it is always a good idea to play around by chucking in a little of this and that. You all will probably know by now that I am a huge fan of kimonos from my endless rantings about my love for them, so it probably wouldn't come as a surprise when you see that I went with a kimono to jazz up this look. Of course, I could never leave my accessorise game going weak, which is why I layered up some dainty gold necklaces and snuck in this ring slash bracelet thingy, whatever its called.

  • Striped sweater - Forever 21 | Denim dungaree - Forever 21 | Sneakers - DIY | Horse-shoe bracelet - H&M
Even as a kid, my mom has always loved dressing me up in dungarees. It is the perfect item for one of those lazy days where you are just too tired to put so much effort into your outfit of the day. Take any top and throw a dungaree on top of it and you are good to go, especially if it is denim. No one would notice how many times you have worn the same item when its denim. Instead of going for the old plain white tee, I went for an oversized striped sweater. It is the one thing that always compliments denim perfectly, and whats better than a pair of white sneakers to complete this look?

Floral Kimono [DIY]

As a student, I am a huge fan of school breaks, they give me the opportunity to just chill and get things done. Before the break starts, I have made a list of things I would like to do over the break, that's how excited I am. One of the things on the list is to make a kimono. I, myself has always loved chiffon kimonos, it is the best item for layering in the tropical climate because it is super lightweight. With a bunch of fabrics and cloths lying around unused in my art room, I took the opportunity to made myself a kimono today. Unlucky for me, my thread trimmer broke down so I had to close up all the sides by doing a rolling stitch, if you know what I mean. Regardlessly, I still enjoyed every bit of it. Nothing beats the joy of making your own clothing.
